...processing industrial hemp
Originally, TEBECO, s.r.o. started to develop and manufacture mechanical equipment for hemp harvesting as one of its custom development project.
Its very first effort involved the development of a testing machine with a 1 m wide cutter bar that identifies the efficiency and service life of the cutting system. On successful testing, a Schumacher harvester with two cutter bars and 4 m span was designed. This machine was designed to harvest plants with stalks of no more than 2 m. When the Schumacher machine proved its qualities in practice, hemp producers soon began demanding machines that could harvest plants that are as much as 4 m tall. Tebeco responded to these needs by developing Clipper, a machine that cuts plants so tall with an output of over 2 ha/hour.
In view of the huge potential of the development of hemp industry technologies, Tebeco launched an independent division called Tebeco – Hemp Technology that specializes in the development of hemp harvest and processing technologies.
In the course of time the development of harvesting equipment split into two categories: single-bar and multiple-bar machines. The current multiple-bar production program includes the Clipper 4.3 model with three cutting bars and the Clipper 4.4 model with four bars. Single-bar machines are represented by the Panther 3.1 model.
