The Panther 3.1H harvester is specially designed for cutting the remaining 1m stems after combining, and is ideally suited for small scale farms with divided fields. It can also be used to cut any type of herb and stems up to 2.5 meters. For taller stems, we recommend our Clipper harvester.
The Panther has one cutter bar with a length of 3 metres. The cutting system is based on our proven and successful “Clipper” technology. The average harvesting capacity is 2-3 ha/hour, and up to 4ha/hour in ideal conditions.
A number of safety features have been installed on the Panther to ensure the safety of the user, including a transport mode and emergency-stop system. The manipulation of the bar is via a hydraulic cylinder.
The Panther consists of a single cutting-bar attached to the frame [1] with an articulated arm [2]. The frame is hooked to a tractor by means of a three-point ‘Euro-hitch’. The cutting bar is composed of the supporting bar [3], the tongue [4], the gear box [5], and the fingers and knives. The Panther is equipped with an emergency-stop system in case of overload [6].
The hydraulic cylinder [7] allows the cutting-bar to be easily moved between the upright transport and horizontal cutting positions. The bar is manually locked in position, and powered by the hydraulic motor [8]. Two traction springs [9] enable the cutting-bar to ‘float’ and reduce the ground pressure of the tongue. Thanks to this mechanical floating system, the bar is flexible in its movement and delivers optimum cutting even on very uneven ground. The use of different tongue sizes allow for different stubble lengths (between 20 and 150 mm).

* The calculation of the harvesting capacity also includes the transfers between fields while harvesting an area of 1400 ha. The real harvesting capacity is always affected by hemp height, field quality, weather, and the machine operator’s skills.
